I don't see how Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) is going to make it through Landman season 2 in one piece, and perhaps that's the point.

As of season 2 episode 2, his mom has died, his daughter and wife have been arrested for getting a group of pensioners drunk in a retirement home exercise class, and his son is an accidental millionaire who's signed a deal with his arch-nemesis to finance it.

I wish I could say this is an exceptional day in Tommy's life, but it's really not. The season 2 drama could go in any direction from this point, especially given the fact Tommy's boss is now Cami (Demi Moore), widow of Monty (Jon Hamm).

Landman season 2 is opting for an almost-weekly drop, with episodes running from November 16 through to January 18. In other words, our Christmas binge is already accounted for.

I say "almost" as episodes 8 and 9 are currently set to drop at the same time on January 4, 2026, which again is perfect timing for the post-festive hibernation.
